We strongly believe in the power of food. We also want to prevent food waste, both in what we buy and how much we prepare. So, there is not a regular a la carte menu. We will prepare a different meal for lunch and dinner every day. If you have any special dietary needs, please let us know before you arrive, or as soon as you can so we can plan accordingly. We will use food from our gardens or other organic foods as much as possible, but it depends on availability.
Lunch: Served anytime between 1130 – 130. It will include a soup or salad starter, a main course, a dessert, and a drink of your choice (beer OK, no wine or alcoholic beverage.)
If you are a guest and wish to stay for lunch, kindly let us know that morning at breakfast that you wish to stay. For those coming from outside, and wish to enjoy the view and have lunch only, please let us know as early as possible the day you are coming so we can prepare accordingly.
Dinner: Served family style. We believe in the sharing of ideas and experiences with each other and networking. All guests are asked to come to the restaurant around 7 pm, and will be served a drink to start (beer OK, wine and alcoholic drinks not included in price.) Dinner will start around 730, and will include an appetizer, a main course, and dessert.
Fridays is the exception: It is pizza night! We hope the conversation will continue around the campfire after dinner.
We understand that sometimes you just don’t feel like talking or mingling, especially after a long day traveling, hiking our trails or exploring Nyungwe Forest. If you wish to take your dinner separate from the rest of the group, please tell the staff ahead of dinner.
